On Sunday about noon occurred the death of Frederich Sarbaum after a six years complaint of asthma and bronchitis which developed into consumption. Deceased was born sixty six years ago in Vasen Germany and at the age of eighteen emigrated to America making his home in St. Louis with the occupation of teamster. In the year 1862 on the eleventh of May he was joined in the bonds of matrimony with Louisa Both who survives him. In the spring of 1883 the deceased moved his family to Wien Missouri and went to farming. Here he contracted the above disease and being unable to do manual labor he moved the family to this place in 1900 and led a retired life being confined to his bed for over a year. On the twenty eighth of August this year he joined the catholic church and received baptism from Rev. J. H. Strom berg. The remains were taken to St. Joseph’s catholic church on Tuesday morning where the last sad rites and ceremonies were performed by Rev. J. A. Gerlemann. Interment took place in St. Jospeh’s catholic cemetery. His wife and five children survive him. The children are Henry, Isidore, John and George of this place and Mrs. Kathrine Kanugiessor of Lacombe Alberta Canada. May his soul rest in peace.
