MRS. GT. VAN DONKELAAR, 76

Mrs. G. Van Donkelaar passed away at her home early Tuesday morning, August 11, at the age of 76 years and 9 months. She had been ill for many weeks due to a heart ailment.

Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at one o'clock at the home and 1:30 at the First Reformed church.

Mrs. Van Donkelaar, nee Dirkje Weijers, was born in the Netherlands on Oct. 11, 1876. On Nov. 11, 1903, she was united in marriage to Mr. G. Van Donkelaar and the family came to America four years later, coming to Sioux Center where they made their home since that time with the exception of nine years spent at Perkins.

She is now survived by her husband and four children: Kate (Mrs. John Vander Stelt) of Maurice, Antonia (Mrs. Jake Mulder) and Sena (Mrs. Elmer Altena) both of Sioux Center and Herman of Maurice. She is further survived by 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Six children, one grandson and a sister, Mrs. Tunis Fluit of Doon, preceded her in death.
