James Langlois died at Hawarden last week aged seventy four. He was born in t h e island of Guernsey and came to Wisconsin when six years old. He went to Los Angeles four years ago and there lost his wife in death. Since last spring he had lived with his nephew J. H. Near at Hawarden, The remains were taken to Los Angeles.

Jas. H. Langlois died at the home of his nephew, J. H. Near in this city last Thursday afternoon. The deceased was born in the Isle of Guernsey in 1865 and was 74 years, 1 month and 0 days old at the time of his death. He came to Wisconsin when be was six years of age. About forty years ago he moved to Los Angeles where his wife died. last spring he came to Hawarden to make his home with his nephew and resided here since that time. The remains were taken to LosAngeles for interment be side of his wife. Nimrod Ericson accompanied the body to Los Angeles. The deceased has a number of warm friends during his brief residence here. The community extends sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Near in their sorrow.
