Mrs. Wm. Langstraat Passes On Mrs. Wm. Langstraat of O. C. passed away at the Grossmann Hospital Wednesday at midnight following a series ,of strokes she suffered since over a week ago.

Mrs. Langstraat nee Jennie Van Meeteren was born in the Netherlands on July 19, 1888.

She came to America with her parents at the age of 2 1/2 years, lived on a farm one mile west and 3 north of Newkirk and was married there on Feb 23, 1910. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Langstraat started housekeeping on a farm 2 ½ miles north of Newkirk where they lived for 36 years, when moving to Orange City 5 years ago. They were the parents of 9 children, one son Walter preceded her in death several years ago.

Survivors are her husband and children, Cornie of Lynden, WA, Dick, William and Peter of Orange City, Angelena, Mrs. Gt Leusink of Boyden, John of Newkirk, Jennie Mrs. E. Vander Brake of Maurice and Howard at home.

Also surviving are 3 sisters Mrs. John Mouw of Orange City, Mrs. Paul Vander Hoef of Boyden, Jeanette, and one brother Walter of Newkirk.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Rev. Church of Orange City with Rev. H. Colenbrander officiating. Interment was made at the Newkirk Cemetery.
