The promise, "Thou shalt come to thy grave in full age," has been fulfilled in the life and death of James Wear/(Weir) Bon in the early part of the century, his life has been full of varied experiences.
Some of his children have grown to man and womanhood and laid aside life's course before they had ____'shed the allotted period of man's sojourn here. Mr. Wear was 72 years old and died July 9th. he was a man with excellent habits and possessed many noble traits of character, prominent among which was a high sense of honor, faultless generosity, and of unfaltering faithfulness to his friends. As a father he was always ready to contribute to the happiness of those dependant upon him; as a friend he was sincere, frank and considerate, lie has left behind him a name and character which will ever stand a monument to his memory. Deceased was born in Ireland and came to this country 50 years ago. Shortly after his arrival in this country he was united in manage to Miss Maggie Galleghar in the stale of New York, who survives him. Twelve children blessed their union, of whom five sons and three daughters are still living. The funeral services were held last Wednesday, con ducted by Rev. J. Phelan in an impressive manner, and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends who gathered to pay the last sad tribute of respect to one whom they loved in life and deeply mourn in death.
