Peter Brower, father of Mrs. Gerrit Juffer, died suddenly at his home in Hull Saturday evening. He had been in his usual health that day, going down town after groceries and returning home, sat down and was suddenly stricken with a heart attack and died. He was born March 5, 1871 at Andyk, Holland. He came to Orange City in 1888. On March 12, 1896 he was married to Johanna Hermina Wiersma and they lived 40 years in and near Hull. Besides the widow the following children mourn the loss of a father: Mrs. Juffer, Ireton; John and William Brower, Chicago; Mrs. J. Kragt, George; Richard, Hamilton, IA. There are also 20 grandchildren. Besides he leaves four brothers, three sisters and two step-sisters and other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the First Reformed Church in Hull, Rev. Geo. Doustra and Rev. Jager being in charge. Burial was made in the Hull cemetery. So closes the book on another life which was spent in activity, spent for his family and loved ones, for church and community. His fine Christian qualities and noble purposes were recognized by all. At the time of his death he was a member of the town council of Hull. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved.

NOTE: The Sioux Center News, March 18, 1937 gives additionally the names of the daughters listed in this obituary:
