Mr. and Mrs. John Van den Berge, living near Carnes, mourn the death of their six year old son, who died Sunday night of lung fever. The funeral was held at Alton yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Van den Berge have the sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.
(Found the death record of Peter Vanden Berge died apr 7, 1901 at 5 yrs, 9 mos. and 10 days. He was not mentioned in either parents obits. His father was John Vanden Berge 1861-1958 and mother was Chirstina Christianson born Apr 30, 1870 died 1945 married April 25, 1890. They have several other children.)
