Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Brower were held Tuesday at the Porter Funeral Home and at the Christian Reformed Church with Rev. John Byker officiating. Burial was made at Doon. She passed Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sam Baker.

Funeral services for Brower, 88, Rock Valley resident
for the last six years who died here Saturday at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Sam Baker after a four-year illness, was
held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter funeral home and at 1:30
p.m. at the Christian Reformed church. Rev. John Byker officiated.
Burial was in the Hillside cemetery at Doon.

Mrs. Brower was born June 22, 1873, in The Netherlands.
She was married to John Brower oh March 26, 1839, at
Armour, S. D. They farmed in the Doon community for about 50 years.
She moved to Rock Valley after the death of her husband.

Survivors besides her daughter Nellie with whom she made
her home include four other daughters, Mrs. Mary Hoekstra
and Mrs. Katheryn Picket also of Rock Valley, Mrs. Betty Bowerman
of Kalamazoo, Mich , and Mrs. Grace Hubers of Doon, four
sons, William of Rock Rapids, John and Henry, both of
Doon, and Theodore of Luverne Mn; 36 grandchildren, 66
great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
