Mrs. K. Walraven departed this life last Wednesday, after a prolonged illness. She was about 7O years old and leaves an aged husband and several grown children to mourn her demise The Walraven were old settlers in Orange City and have numerous warm friends here who deeply sympathize with the bereaved relatives. The funeral was held Friday afternoon from the First Reformed church, of which deceased was a devoted member.
(From several sources found info on this family. Klaas Walraven was born 1 May 1827 died 23 Feb 1906 Alton IA. He married Cornelia De Boer on 26 Jan 1856 Pella Marion county IA. In the 1880 census they were living near Gove Kansas and their children were – John, 1867, Peter 1869 and Jantje 1875.)
