Mrs. J. C. Kooyman of Archer, whose sickness has been noted in these columns the past three months
succumbed to her illness Thursday night at nine o'clock. Deceased formerly lived at Newkirk and also south of Alton and will be brought here today Friday and buried from the Reformed church tomorrow at two o'clock. Deceased was sixty-four
years old and leaves a husband and four children. The children are Mesdames Toni Kooreman of Alton and John Tiemens of Archer and Messrs. Andy Kooyman of Alton and Case Kooyman of Tyndall South Dakota.
(This was found to be Mrs. Jort C. Kooyman, Elizabeth Bakker born 5 Dec 1836 Terschelling, Fr. Neth. married 7 Mar 1861 Terschelling to Jort Cornelis Kooyman age 25, at Terschelling Fr. Neth. Her parents were - Anne Pieters Bakker and Rinsje Daniels Bos. Their children were Cornelius 1864, Rynse 1867, Nellie 1872, Andrew 1877, and Mary 1878.)
