Mrs. J. L. Finch died at her home in this city Thursday afternoon, Jan. 17, at 2:30 p. m. She ate her supper in apparently her usual health Wednesday evening,and was soon afterward found on the floor in an insensible condition, not recovering or showing any signs of consciousness till her death; the physicians ascribe it to a stroke of paralysis.

The funeral services were held from the family residence Saturday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. Richards of the Methodist church, of which denomination the deceased had been for many years a member. Mrs. Finch was 77 years old and had been a resident of Sioux county since 1875. Her husband and children, with two exceptions, were •at her bedside when she passed away. A large circle of intimate friends join with the sorrowing relatives in mourning her loss. She died full of years and in the most ample enjoyment of Christian hope and consolation.
