The sad intelligence reaches their Alton friends and former neighbors that Mr. and Mrs. G. Kuyper, now residing at Carmel, recently lost two of their children from scarlet fever. Mr. Kuyper is a son of A. Kiyper and nephew of G. Gleysteen of Alton.
(In the mother's obit (Mrs. Ella Kuyper 1864-1948) it is mentioned she lost a son Gysbert in 1900 6 years old and a daughter Mary Sue 6 months old in 1900.)
