Died, at his home one mile southwest
of Alton on Monday, April 16, at
10 o'clock—
K. Dorsma (Dorsman), at the age of ninety-three years and seven months, from the infirmities of age. Mr. Dorsma was one of the oldest settler's
of Sioux county having lived for many years with his family on the eighty acre farm where he died.
About seven or eight years ago his wife preceded him to the great unknown and since that time he and his two sons, Peter and Gerrit, both past
the meridian of life, lived together on the farm Mrs. James Dorsma, wife of another son who lives in a seperate house on the farm assisting
them in their household duties. Besides the relatives mentioned, deceased leaves one daughter in Holand and two in Sioux county.
The latter are Mrs. John SchuUer of near Alton and Mrs. Lagendyk of near Sioux Center. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Lepeltak were held on Wednesday at two o'clock, followed by interment in the Alton cemetery.
