Mrs. Merrill Elliott, 89, of Craig, died July 7 in the hospital at Hawarden.

Services were at 1:15 P.M., July 10 in St. John Lutheran Church at Craig. Burial was in the Craig Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Elliott, the former Zora Galland, was born Aug. 13, 1886, at Salix. She was married Sept. 19, 1903 at St. Cloud, Minn. Mr. Elliott died in 1956. Mrs. Elliott had been a resident of Craig 60 years, but resided with a daughter in Sioux City three years before returning to Craig recently.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Hazel) Shacklette and Mrs. Walter (Vera) Baack, both of Craig; a son, Donald of LeMars; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
