Carl Durr, 62, Merrill, IA, died Feb. 21 at his home after an apparent heart attack.

Services were held at 2 P.M., Feb. 24, at Mauer Funeral Chapel in LeMars. The Rev. E. J. Berreth, pastor of Merrill United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in the Rest Haven Memory Gardens in LeMars. A prayer service was held at 7 P.M., Feb. 23, at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Durr was born Aug. 28, 1913, in LeMars. He married Lorraine Thoms, March 2, 1948 in South Sioux City. Mr. Durr was employed at the Swift and Co. plant in S. City as a meat cutter for more than 28 years.

Survivors include the widow, a son and five daughters, five grandchildren, one brother, Orville, Sr. of LeMars. Three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Alice) Madsen, LeMars; Mrs. Lloyd (Irene) Nanninga, Struble; and Mrs. Emil (Ellen) Schoenrock of Hawarden.
