Word has been received that M. Oostenbrug, a former Floyd Township farmer, has died. The old gentleman has a host of friends here who will regret to hear of his demise.
(Evidently, Melle Oostenbrug went back to the Netherlands and died there in Friesland Neth on 17 Feb 1900 as reported on ancestry.com. His wife was Maaike Klazes Wijnenga 1829-1914. He had a son Wiebe or Wybe living in the Linn Tsp area of Sioux County.)
