Clifton Moore, 78, of Rock Valley, died Friday at a nursing home here after a long illness.
Services" were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Pioneer United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ron
Johnson officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mr. Moore was born March 28, 1906 in Doon, where he attended country schools. He married Elsie
Hamann Jan. 28, 1927 in Rock Rapids. The couple farmed in the Alvord and Doon areas until they,
moved to Rock Valley. He was employed by Rock Valley lumber yards for five years and* then owned and operated Cliff's Place for six years.

He was a member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Nebben. Survivors include his wife; a son,
Jim of Denver, Colo.; Daughters, Mrs. Walt (Mavis ) Vugteveen, Mrs. John (Lois) Collenbaugh, both of Rock Valley, Mrs. Oscar J. (Marcia)Benson: of Sheldon, Mrs. Gary (Karen) Easton of Marshall, Texas; brothers, George of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Walter of Rock
Valley; 12 grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
