Word Arrived Through Red Cross

Neal De Wit received two short 25 word letters from Holland last Friday evening, one mailed on June 13, saying his mother was very ill and the second dated July 6 announcing her death. Mrs. De Wit was 88 years old and has been in good health until recently. Last spring Neal received a letter written by his mother - this was the last he heard from her. He has not seen her since he came to America in 1910.

Surviving besides her son Neal of Sioux Center are a son and daughter living in Holland.

The letters came thru the Red Cross and were limited to 25 words.
