Note: Some family members spell the surname Husmann and others Husman within the same family. For those doing family research I have put both spellings in the surname box and the gravestone spelling in the deceased name box. Also his mother's maiden name was Ressen and his wife's maiden name was Whiting.

Obituary: Remsen, Iowa: Alfred Husmann, 82, formerly of Hawarden and Westfield, IA died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at Happy Siesta Care Center in Remsen. There will be a Private Family Interment at the Westfield Township Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Florence; son David (Linda) Husmann of Akron, IA; daughters Karen (Gary) Bowman of Akron, June (Mark) Heggedahl of Apple Valley, MN; sister, Dorothy Madden of LeMars, IA; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred, Hank, John, and Albert; and sisters, Tina Husmann, Julia Baak, and Christina Carstensen.
