PIONEER FUNERAL HELD WED.
Sioux Center, Ia,— Special
The funeral of Mrs. Eibert Den Herder was held Wednesday afternoon from the First Reformed church of Sioux Center, Rev. Lubbers officiating, assisted by Rev. Colenbrander of Rock Valley. Burial took place at the Sioux Center cemetery. Mrs. Den Herder died Sunday afternoon at five o'clock after a long illness from complications. Her life partner preceded her in death 14 years ago. Mrs. Den Herder came to Sioux county in 1872 and in March 1875 was married, the family ever since making Sioux county their home. She is survived, by two sisters, Winnie (Mrs. G. Colenbrander), Jennie (Mrs. Wm. Vande Brake), and by one brother Gerrit. Eleven grandchildren and
two sisters, Mr. J. W.Te Grotenhuis and Mrs. Wm. Pronk. Rev. De Pree, who was to have assisted at the funeral, was prevented by indisposition from attending.
