Sally Henningfeld, 73, of Orange City died Sunday, Oct. 12,1997 at the Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City. The Rev. Fr. Jerry Lyon officiated. Burial followed at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Alton.

Sally, who was actually named Celestina, was born Jan. 7,1924 at Rock Valley, the daughter of Lawrence J. and Adriana M. Henningfeld.

In 1955 she became a resident of the Sioux County Home near Orange City, which later became the Hope Haven Residential Training Center. On May 1, 1996 she transferred to Pleasant Acres.

Miss Henningfeld was a member of the Catholic faith and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton.

Survivors include her brother, Jerome Henningfeld of Sioux City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters.
