Death of Mrs. Aalders.
After a severe illness lasting several weeks, Mrs. G. H. Aalders passed to her reward on Saturday evening ast at her home two miles south of town. Mrs. Aalders was 59 years old and had been ill with what is known as gall fever for about one month. Deceased was a native of Holland and came to this country from Zupthen in 1879 in company with her husband and three children.

Seven children in all were born to them, three of whom with the father survive her. They are Henry who lives on the home place, John who lives near by and Ben who is in business at Orange City. All were at their mother's bedside at the end.

Mrs. Aalders was a. member of the Dutch Reformed church at Alton and Christian woman of many good deeds. She will be sorely missed by the relatives and friends who mourn her loss. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Lepeltak were held on Tuesday at 1:30 followed by burial at the. Alton cemetery

( From the marriage record found on www.genlias.nl, Garret Hendrik Aalders 31 married Dina Klaasen 23 on 24 Feb 1864 at Zutphen, Gelderland, Netherlands. They were both born at Zutphen. His parents were Jan Hendrik Aalders and Berendje Leerink and her parents were Willem Klaasen and Margaritha Muijderman. In the 1880 census of Nassau tsp. Sioux County Gerrit H. was 47 , Dena was 39, and they had sons Gerrit H. 8, and Bernard 1. )
