MRS. JOHN R. HOLMES
Mrs. John R, Holmes, 76, of Marcus, died Tuesday. March 16 in a rest home at Paullina after long illness. Private services were Friday in the Nelson-Mauer Funeral Home in Marcus.
The Rev, James Davidson officiated. r , Burial was in the' Marcus-Amherst Cemetery. -
Mrs, Holmes, the former Nina Hillmer, was born April 15, 1905, at Sioux Center. She had lived in the. Marcus area 52years. She married John Holmes June, 3, 1930, at Sioux Center. He died in July of 1975,
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs.George (Betty) Whecler of Marcus; one son, Richard,L. of Marcus; one sister, Mrs. Charles Gayer of Rock Valley and four grandchildren.
