Edith N. Schlueter
Edith N. Schlueter, 61, died Friday, October 17, 1986, in a Hawarden hospital after a long illness.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday,
October 20, at Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden. Rev. Paul Hansen, pastor of United Methodist Church, officiated.
Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Schlueter, the former Edith Bolluyt, was born on April 21,1925, on
a farm near Maurice. She moved with her parents to Hawarden in 1937. She married Donald Schlueter on October 19, 1953, in Luverne, MN, and they made their home in Hawarden. She had worked in Tom's Cafe and also operated a catering business in Hawarden for many years.
She was a member of the Hawarden Hospital Auxiliary and was past president of Hawarden Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Doug (Jan) Herman of Stan City, Mrs. James (Gayle) Harper, and Mrs. Don (Pamela) Finch, both of Benton, AR; her father, Bert Bolluyt, and two brothers, Edward "Bud" Bolluyt, and Erwin Dean Bolluyt, all of Hawarden; and six grandchildren
