Mr. Roelof De Kruif was born in The Netherlands on August 25, 1875. He came to America at the age of 5 years and settled in the Hospers vicinity where he spent most of his life.

On February 20, 1935 he married Mrs. Maggie Dykstra. Mr. De Kruif died at the Grossmann hospital at Orange City after a short illness.

Left to mourn are his widow, and 3 step children: Lena (Mrs. Frye) Rushmore, MN; Hendrina Dykstra, and Gysbert Dykstra both of Hospers. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Effie Breeschoten of Volga, South Dakota, in addition to many relatives and friends.

Services wee held at the Presbyterian church in Hospers today, April 15, with Rev. H. Eggink officiating. Pall bearers were Nelson Vleiger, Bert Vande Weerd, Raymond Van Heuvelen, Gilbert Van Heuvelen, Ray Vander Naald and Art Pluim.

Arrangements were by the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.
