Maggie DeJonge, 86, of Rock Valley, died Thursday, Jan. 10, at Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley.

Services were at 2 p.m., Monday, January 14, in the Porter Funeral Home. Lyle Schober & Doug Kellog officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. DeJonge, the former Maggie Lagrouw, was born Dec. 13, 1898 in The Netherlands.

She married Daniel DeJonge, Aug. 4, 1920, in The Netherlands. They came to the U.S. in 1920 and settled in the Rock Valley area. She was a homemaker; her husband worked for the railroad. He died Nov. 19, 1975.

Survivors include two sons, Michael of Worthing, SD; and Simon of Sioux Falls, SD; one daughter, Mrs. Karl (Frances) Hamann of Rock Valley; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
