Frances Josephine Ver Mulm, 76, of Rock Valley died Sunday, December 18, in a Sioux Falls hospital following a lengthy illness with cancer. Services are at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rock Valley with Father Donald R. Smith officiating. Burial is at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Rock Valley.

Born Frances Aurit March 20, 1912, at Rock Valley, she attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Rock Valley. She married Bill Ver Mulm October 3, 1930, in Worthing, South Dakota, and they lived in Rock Valley where they operated a restaurant. Her husband died January 15, 1965, and she later worked at a Rock Valley golf course from 1980 to 1986. She was also a foster grandmother at Hope Haven. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Guild.

Survivors include two sons, Bill of Harrisburg, South Dakota, and Larry of Sioux Falls; a daughter, Mary Joan Moeller of Rock Valley; a brother, Leo Aurit of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Florence Hamann of Rock Valley and Josephine Lottman of Canton, South Dakota; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
