DEATH CAUSED BY SHOCK
Mrs. Edwin Willey Fractured Thigh and Died as Result of Nervous Shock

Mrs. Ed Willey, south of town, died last Sunday evening [Nov. 25] as the result of a nervous shock caused by fracturing her thigh. The death is particularly sad as it occured so suddenly and as she was supposed to be getting along as well as could be expected under the conditions.

Last Tuesday afternoon the lady, in attempting to lift a cellar door which did not yield to her efforts, suddenly fell backward to the ground and fractured her thigh. She was carried into the house and a physician sent for who set the fracture, and she was supposed to be getting along nicely, but in some manner the shock began to tell on her nerves and she died Sunday evening as a result.

Mrs. Willey was about fifty nine years of age at the time of her death. She was born in Danville, Canada. She leaves a sorrowing husband and one daughter, a young lady, to mourn her loss, besides many near relatives and friends.

The funeral occurred from the house Wednesday, Rev. J. E. Youel, of the First Presbyterian church of Ireton, conducting the services.
