Adrianna Hoogendoorn, 89, of Rock Valley died Tuesday, January 2, at Valley Manor Nursing Home in Rock Valley.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m.Friday at Netherlands Reformed Church in Rock Valley with the Rev. P. Bazen officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
Mrs. Hoogendoorn was born December 4, 1911, near Rock Valley, the daughter of Joe and Jacoba (Jacobsma) Groeneweg. She attended country school in the Rock Valley area. She married Johannas "Joe" Hoogendoorn on December 19,
1934, near Hudson, South Dakota. She was employed as a hostess at Valley Manor. Her husband died December 9, 1969. She entered Valley manor in 1969.
She was a member of Netherlands Reformed Church.
Survivors include four sons and their wives, Gilbert and Lorraine of George, Joel and Ada of
Hudsonville, Michigan, and Arvin and Betty and Marion and Mary, all of Rock Valley; two daughters and their husbands, Coba and Marvin Van Tilberg of Rock Valley and Margie and John
E. Mantel of Doon; two sisters, Tina Verberg and Jeanette Groen, both of Rock Valley; a brother-inlaw, Clarence Groen of Steen, Minnesota; a sister-in-law, Carol Groeneweg of Rock valley; 24
grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Marion; a grandson; a greatgranddaughter; a brother, Paul
Groeneweg; and a sister, Pearl Groen
