Mr. Mike Schutz, one of the pioneer settlers of Granville, passed peacefully away at his home in that city, at the advanced age of seventy years, last Thursday evening. He leaves two daughters and three sons to mourn his death respectively, Mrs. Mc Dremott of Leeds, and Mrs. Ben Karhoff, Fredinand, Theo., and Felix of that city and H. J. of Peterson. Mrs. Clementine Schutz having died 1896. (see her obit) The funeral occorred last Monday. It is with genuine regret that the Democrat chronicles the death of one of the oldest and most respected citizens of that community. May his soul find repose and reap the just and beautiful reward he has earned in this sphere.
