Rock Valley, IA: William "Bill" Vande Stouwe, 74, of Rock Valley, formerly of Inwood, died of an apparent heart attack, Wednesday, May 2, 2007, on his farm NW of Inwood. Funeral Service will be 2 pm Monday at Netherlands Reformed Church, Rock Valley.
Burial at Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. Rev. G.M. de Leeuw will be officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday with the family present 5-8 pm Saturday at Porter Funeral Home,
Rock Valley.
Bill was born November 1, 1932 near Alvord, IA, son of Gerrit and Susie (Van Den Top) Vande
Stouwe and grew up on farms near Alvord, LA and Fairview, SD. Bill married Gertrude Van
Ginkel on May 20,1953 at Inwood. Bill worked for John Morrell for 44 years retiring in 1997.
He farmed NW of Inwood since 1957. Bill served in the U.S. Army 1954-56 at Fort Lee, VA.
Bill and Gert moved to Rock Valley in 2004.
Bill is survived by his wife, Gert; son. Randy (Carol) Vande Stouwe and children, Kristina, Holly
(Jason) Horstman, and Jason all of Inwood; son, Todd (Kelley) Vande Stouwe and children,
Chenoa, and Cheyenne all of Inwood; daughter, Nancy (Mark) Van Otterloo and child, Elese all
of Inwood, daughter, Cheryl (Rob) Driesen and children, Michayla, Jade, Sterling, Lydia, and
Betsy all of Orange City, IA; daughter, Myra (Dale) Zomer and children, Cierra, Damon, Mikiah
all of Harrisburg, SD; brothers, Gerrit (Lois) Vande Stouwe of Rock Valley, Clarence (Faye)
Vande Stouwe of Apple Valley, CA; sister, Alice (Albert) Bakker of Rock Valley; in-laws,
Margaret Vande Stouwe of Rock Valley, Hermina Van Ginkel of Inwood, John (Jeanette) Van
Ginkel, Roevina (Gilbert) Hoogendoom, and John Van Beek Jr. all of Rock Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jake Vande Stouwe; brother-in-law, Everett Van Ginkel; sister-in-law, Ethel Van Beek.
