Mrs. Jacob Treiber living a few miles west of town, died early WEdnesday morning. She leaves a husband and eight children ro mourn her losss.

The death of Mrs. Jakob Treiber occurred Wednesday morning at her home west of this city. She was a splendid woman beloved by all who knew her, a faithful living wife and kind mothr. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband an eight children to whom the Bee extends sincere sympthy. The funeral was held this forenoon and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery south of town. A large number of pioneer neighbors and friends attended.

Jul 1844 Baden Wurttenberg, Germany died 1904 IA (His death could not be found, however the Rock Valley Bee issues for 1904 are missing, son Phillip's obit states he died in 1904) He married Anna Maria Erny 1854-1899 before 1877 in Germany. They came to the USA in 1883 Their children were - Phillip 1877-1944, Barbara 1879-1931, Martin 1881-1930, Peter 1882-1968, JOhn George 1884-1961, William 1887-1962, George Casper 1888-1963 and Ida Treiber 1892-1974.)
