Mrs.Elmer Lundgren,70, of Hawarden died Dec 15 at the Hawarden Community Hospital. Funeral services were held on Monday Dec 17 at the United Methodist Church in Hawarden with Rev. Herbert Gould officicating. Burial services were held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Alcaster under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lundgren, the former Olive Ofstad was born April 14, 1903 in Union County, SD. She was married June 25, 1920. The couple farmed in the Union County and Hawarden areas before moving into Hawarden in 1946. Mr.Lundgren died in July 1960. Mrs Lundgren was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hawarden and she was a past president of the American Legion Women's Auxillary.

Survivors include daughter, Mrs. Ed (Avis) Lienhart of Hawarden and Mrs. (Aloise) Stockman of Bakersfield, Calif. Five greandchildren and six great grandchildren
