Sept. 9, 1908---July 4, 1975
John Vander Weide, 66, of Maurice died July 4 at his home of a brief illness.
Services were at 10 a.m. July 7 in the First Reformed Church. The Rev. Gary Van Koevering officiated. Burial in Sherman Township Cemetery was under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home, Orange City.
Mr. Vander Weide was born on Sept. 9, 1908 at Sioux Center. He married Daisy Zeutenhorst Feb. 25, 1935. He worked as a carpenter.
Survivors include the widow; four sons, Duane, Rod and Lee Vander Weide and Bob Zeutenhorst, all of Maurice; two brothers, Arie of Sioux Center and Henry of Orange City; three sisters, Mrs. William (Dena) De Vos, Mrs. Kornie (Elizabeth) De Vos and Mrs. Dick (Dora) Bleeker, all of Sioux Center, and seven grandchildren.
