Michael J. Puhl age 84 of Chatsworth,Iowa passed away April 3, 1973 at a Nursing Home in Le Mars.Funeral services were held on April 5, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawarden with Rev. William Carel officiating and burial in St. Mary's Cemetery Rosary was held on Wednesday at the Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Puhl was born on Dec. 19, 1888 at Marble Rock, Iowa. He married Theresa L. Westergard on Jan 30, 1912 at Hawarden. They farmed in the Currie Minnesota area from 1912 to 1918 and in the Akron, Hawarden and Chatsworth area before retirement in 1960. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Catholic Forester.

Surviving are is his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Beatrice) Feldhacker of Maurice; Mrs. Jack (Francis) Dramper of Jackson, Nebr.; two sons, Robert of Struble and Vincent of Hawarden; 22 grandchildren and 3 great grandschildren; four brothers, Herman of Worthington, Minn.; Ed of Egden, Utah.; Mick of Wisconsin and Frank of Waterloo, Iowa, 2 sisters, Mrs. Emanuel (Anna Mae)Romert of Currie, Minn, and Mrs. Tillie Johnson of Slayton, Minn.
