William N. De Boer
William N. DeBoer, 76, of Rock Valley died Tuesday, October 9, 1990, at a hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m Friday, Oct. 12 at the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley with the Rev. C. Eric Fennema officiating.
Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
Mr. De Boer was born Oct. 14, 1913, in rural Rock Valley. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. On April 27, 1944, he married Ann Meendering. The couple farmed near Rock Valley until 1974 when they retired. Mrs. DeBoer died Dec. 14, 1977.
He had lived at Valley Manor Nursing Home since 1983.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Joy of Buena Park, Calif., Kenneth and Jane of Rock Valley and Gary and Vera of Hull; two daughters, Mary and her husband, Dan Vance of Littleton, Colo., and Audrey Johnson of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; a brother, Jake of Littleton, Colo., and 14 grandchildren.
