Sioux County Herald on October 26, 1898: Mrs. Mouw, wife of the pastor of the Presbyterian church at Hospers, died Sunday, and was buried yesterday. We were unable to get any of the particulars of the lady's death.

Then in the Alton Democrat, under Hospers Happenings, October 29, 1898: Mrs. A. (Andrew for Dries) Mouw died at her home in this city last Sunday morning after suffering for a long time. The funeral was held Tuesday, Rev. J. Lumkes of Newkirk, and Rev. D. Te Grootenhuis of this city, conducting the services, after which she was laid to rest in the Hospers cemetery. She was a good Christian woman, loved and respected by all who knew her. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved ones left behind.
