Funeral services for Glenda (Mrs. Dwight) Hass age 48 of Wisner, NE were held Tuesday, January 13th at the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE with Pastor Alan Baglien officiating. Burial was in the Wisner Cemetery.

Mrs. Hass passed away on Friday, January 09, 2004 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.

Glenda Ruth Vant Hul was born June 24, 1955 to Lawrence Vant Hul and Maxine De Boom at Sioux Center, Iowa. She was baptized at the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley, IA. Glenda attended Rock Valley Christian School and graduated from Western Christian High School in Hull, IA in 1973. She attended Northwest Iowa Technical College in Sheldon, IA. After college she worked at K-Products at Sioux Center. She later moved to Thurston, NE where her family grew with the birth of two of her children Ryan and Radiance. During this time she was employed at IBP in Dakota City, NE. She later moved near Pender, NE where her son Robert was born. She had worked at the Social Services office and at Meierdierk's Hardware for an extended time in Pender, NE. Glenda had been employed by Ortmeier's True Value in Beemer, NE.

On June 24, 1995 she was united in marriage to Dwight Hass at Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. They made their home in Wisner and a daughter Shania was born. She continued to work at Ortmeier's in Beemer before working at the Leprino Foods Plant in Dodge, NE and had previously owned a business in Wisner before beginning her employment at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE. Glenda enjoyed working at the hospital as a C.N.A. until her death.

Glenda was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, where she was confirmed through Adult Confirmation. Some of her favorite pastimes included: country western dancing, collecting antiques and collector tins as well as being outdoors camping and canoeing and spending time with friends.

Survivors include-
Husband - Dwight Hass of Wisner, NE;
parents - Lawrence and Maxine Vant Hul of Rock Valley, IA;
children - Ryan Klein of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Radiance Klein of Wayne, NE and her daughter Madison Scardina, Robert Klein of Wayne, NE and Shania Hass of Wisner, NE;
her sister - Judy and husband Mike Van Otterloo of Rock Valley, IA;
father-in-law - Ronald Hass of Wisner, NE;
sister-in-law - Jeaneen and Michael Bates of Littleton, CO;
3 nieces, 2 nephews and 1 grandnephew.

Glenda was preceded in death by her grandparents, a brother, Darrell and mother-in-law, Caroline Hass.
