EVERT VAN VELDHUIZEN

Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed Church in Hospers at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, March 13, for Evert Van Veldhuizen, 80, of Hospers, who died March 10 at the Sheldon Hospital.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Peter De Haan and burial was in the Hospers cemetery under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home.

Mr. Van Veldhuizen was born in The Netherlands March 9, 1893, and came to the U.S. at the age of 15 in 1908. He married Susie De Jong February 22, 1922 at Alton.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Don (Nellie) Den Hartog of Sheldon, Mrs. Jake (Cornelia) Van Leeuwen of Hudsonville, Mich., Mrs. Darrell (Bertha) Roetman of Sioux Center; two sons, Gilbert of Sheldon and Edward of Storm Lake; three sisters, Mrs. Case (Nellie) Boterhoek of Hospers, Mrs. John (Johanna) Prins of Primghar, Mrs. Martha Kuiper of Doon; three brothers, Henry of Sanborn, Ben of Raymond, Minn., Guysbert of Sheldon, and 14 grandchildren.
