Mr. Everett J. Van Veldhuizen, age 74, of Hull, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, at Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley after a long illness.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the First Reformed Church, with the Rev. Gerald Vander Velde and Mr. Bruce Osbeck officiating.

Everett John was born Sept. 9, 1914, at Hull, the son of Art Van Veldhuizen and Jennie Meerdink Van Veldhuizen. On Feb. 9, 1939, he married Frances Wilma Mouw at Hull. They farmed east of Hull. He retired about ten years ago.

Mr. Van Veldhuizen was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hull, where he had served on the consistory as a deacon. He had also been a member of the boards of directors of Boyden-Hull Community Schools, Farm Bureau, Farmers Co-operative Elevator Association, and Hope Cemetery, all of Hull.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Janice and her husband Frank Honold, of Latimer, Hazel and her husband Lee Ver Mulm of Cedar Falls, Marlis and her husband Gary Kuiper of Spencer; two sons, Dale and his wife Katie of Hull and Wayne and his wife Connie of Lake Mills and seven grandchildren, Steven Honold, Lisa and Laura Ver Mulm, Jeff and Jill Kuiper and Kelly and Amy Van Veldhuizen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Wilmer.
