Adrianna Frances De Jong, 92. of Orange City died Wednesday. December 4, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.
Memorial services were at 1 p.m. Saturday. December 7, at Thnity Reformed Church in Orange City. Burial was prior to the service in West Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. De Jong was born April 26, 1904, near Orange City, the daughter of James and Johanna (Druyvesteyn) Schuller. She married Nelson De Jong on December 30, 1927, in Orange City. The couple farmed near Alton until retiring into Orange City in 1965. He died April 5, 1991, in Orange City. She moved to the Pioneer Memorial Home in 1994 and in April 1996 became a resident of the Long-Term Care Facility at the Orange City Hospital. As a skilled seamstress, she did mending for the Orange City Municipal Hospital Auxiliary.
She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, the Reformed Church Women’s Ministries and the church Circle.
Survivors include three daughters, Lorraine and her husband Leonard Krommendyk of Orange City. Marlys and her husband Stanley Frerichs of Le Mars and Carolyn Richter of Austin, Texas; a sister.
Viola Vande. Lune of Denver, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
