Chas. Renaldo, a young man who ha sbeen working for Mr. Neil just north of town was fishing in a small lake near Neil's place when he reached over to wash his hands the boat capsized throwing him into the water. He could not swim and sank to the bottom. Hartwick attempted to save him he pulled both of them to the bottom
and it was with great difficulty that Hartwick disengaged himself and saved his own life. Renaldo's body was recovered a few hours later in about 16 foot of water. His brother, Jonn Renaldo, of Canova, S. D., was notified the remains interred in Grace Hill cemetery.
