DIED :-Mrs. Leo. Nieland, on Sunday afternoon, July, 31st. The deceased had only been sick a few days and her sudden taking away was a
great shock to her loved ones as well as to her hosts of friends in Garfield township, where she and her husband had resided for the past six
years. She leaves a husband and three small children, besides many other relatives to mourn her untimely loss. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones.
( No further information could be found in the time period. In 1900 there were Nielands in Garfield township sioux County but none by the name of Leo Nieland. Found a Leo Nieland in Benton County but could not be sure this was the same family)
