Oscar Erickson of Centerville was killed early the morning of Nov. 12th when he, in company with Oscar Johnson, was returning home. Erickson was driving a Chevrolet roadster and as he was turning a corner the car hit the embankment, turned over and pinned the men underneath. Passing motorists extricated them but it was discovered that Erickson was dead. He had suffered a fracture of the spine at the neck and it is thought that death was instantaneous. Erickson was 21 years old and was the mainstay in caring for his parents and younger brothers as his father is confined to the house, suffering from rheumatism. Besides his parents he is survived by three sisters and six brothers.
