From the Alton Democrat of August 7, 1897 Hudson SD news (near Hawarden IA)
Died: Mrs. P. Anderson at 6 o'clock Wednesday morning of quick comsumption. Three children, two sons and one daughters, are left to mourn her loss, besides other relatives. He rhusband died eight years ago in New York City, fater which she cam eout here where she could give her chidren, whom she dearly oved, plenty of fresh air and a good education. We extend our heart felt sympathy to the orphan children and the sorrowing relatives.
(No burial listed in Eden cemetery at Hudson. Only record found was that of her three children in the 1900 census of Lincoln Co. So. Alex Anderson age 22 born Apr 1878 New York was working as a servant. Found an entry on Ancestry.com for him as he married Fay Ward oug 1890-1977. He was a resident of Husdson 1900, and 1930, son George 12, Blache 11, Laura 7. Also found 1880 census of New York City a family of Peter and Antonette Anderson (both born Norway) who had a son Alexander born about 1877 and a daughter Degmar age 11.??)
