Brendine G. Rens Nyhof, 52 of Gresham, Ore., formerly of the Sioux Center area, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 1994, at her residence. Services will be held in Oregon Tuesday. Services in Orange City will be 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Jack Gray officiating. Burial. will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center. Visitation will be from 7-8 PM at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sioux Center. Mrs. Nyhof was born March 4, 1942, in Artesia, Calif.,, the daughter of Roy and Margaret (Hoogland) Rens. She lived in California until 1946, when they moved to Iowa. She graduated from Western Christian High School, Hull, Iowa; in 1959. She married Gordon Nyhof March 28, 1964, in Orange City, Iowa. She moved to Oregon in 1966 and lived there until her death
Mrs. Nyhof was a member of the Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Portland, OR..
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ronald and Bradley, both of Gresham; a daughter, Brenda of Gresham; her father, Roy Rens of Alton, Iowa; a brother, Jake Rens of Boring, Ore.; and five sisters, Grace Thomas of Pella, Iowa, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Schelling of Orange City, Mrs. Paul (Barbara) Bettes of Sparta, Mich., Mrs. Ned (Ruth) Weitgenant of Hills, MN., and Mrs. Jeff (Carol) Dc Jong of Chenango Forks, N.Y.
