Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Reformed church of Ireton. A brief services was held at 1:30 p.m. at the family home, immediately preceding the church services. Rev. J.B. Hulst officiated at the services. Burial was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Ireton, under the direction of Satterlee Funeral Home.

Sip Eisma,68, who died at the Hawarden hospital on Thursday morning at 2:30 a.m. following a stroke with which he was stricken 12 hours earlier at his home. Mr. Eisma had been in his usual health and was assisting his wife with household chores when he complained of a severe headache and went to lie down on the couch when his wife noted that he had lapsed into unconsciousness. He was taken to the Hawarden hospital via ambulance where he passed on 12 hour later.

Mr. Eisma was a retired farmer and stockman and has lived in this community for over fofty years. He and Mrs.. Eisma had observed their 43rd wedding anniversary on Feb 3. Sip was born April 27, 1889 in Sexbierem, Friesland, Netherland the son of Simon Eisma and Trina Scheltema. In February of 1907 at the age of 17 he came to America, moving directly to Ireton. He married Jennie Katje February 3, 1915. They were parents of one daughter Sadie and six Sons, Peter, Burton, Allen, Ernest and Eugene. a daughter Katherine died in infancy.

Survivors are Sadie De Vries of Ireton and six sons. There were fifteen grandchildren, One sister Bertha Uldriks who lives in Netherlands
