Bert Duits, 82, of Sioux Center died Monday, January 3, at a Sioux Center hospital.

Services were at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 6, at Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Dennis Wilcox officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center.

Duits was born October 7, 1911, in Barnevelt, The Netherlands. He married Wilma Oliver, May 28, 1936, in Sioux Center. An auto mechanic, he retired in Sioux Center in 1976.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dale and his wife Beth of Vining, MN; a daughter, Mrs. Darrel (Vonnie) Kessler of Sioux City; a brother, Pete and his wife JaneEva Duits of Rock Valley; three sisters, Alyda Kalkman, Mrs. Claude (Johanna) Dykema and Mrs. Nelson (Louise) Brieve, all of Holland, Michigan; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
