Loretta Cullinan
Loreila Cullinan, 90 of Yankton, SD, formerly of Rock Valley, died Friday, Feb. 2, 1996, at the Sister James Nursing Home in Yankton.
Services were Monday at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Rock Valley with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Sunday at the Porter Funcral Home in Rock Valley.
Mrs. Cullinan, The former Loretta Flanagan, was born Dec. 25,1905, in Rock Rapids, IA, the daughter of John T. and Mary Ellen (Broderick) Flanagan. She graduated from Rock Rapids High School and then worked as a clerk al a department store in Sioux Falls, SD. She married John Cullinan June 16,1936, in Rock Rapids. He died Sept. 4, 1989. The couple farmed west of Rock Valley until moving to town in 1974. Mrs. Cullinan moved to Yankton in October 1995 and to the nursing home two months later.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Cleon and Ralph Augustine of Remsen, IA, Mary Ann and Dale Hague and Barbara and Andrew DeJager, all of Yankton; a brother and his wife, Earl and Catherine of Rock Rapids; a sister, Clara Lape of Fort Dodge, IA; 12
grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by Five brothers, three sisters, and a granddaughter, Lisa DeJager.
