Louis 'Lou' Miller, 93, Sioux Falls SD, died Monday Apr 12, 1993.
Louis A. Miller, son of Rika Gayer and Louis Miller, was born April 13, 1899 at Rock Valley, IA. He grew up and attended schools in that area. As a young man, He farmed for several years. He then went into the hardware and implement business in Hudson, SD. On Dec 14, 1923, he was untied in marriage to Myrtle K. Bergstrom in Canton, SD. The couple later returned to farming until 1944 at which time they moved back to Hudson where Lou sold feed. In 1955 the couple moved to Sioux Falls where Lou semi-retired.
He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Kiwanis Golden K. and Sons of Norway.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by a son, Duane; three brothers and two sisters.
Grateful for having shared his life are wife, Myrtle, Sioux Falls; three grandchildren, Paul Miller, Sioux Falls, Michelle Miller, Minneapolis MN and Scott Miller of Seattle WA; his daughter in law, Phyllis J. Miller, Sioux Falls; a sister Emma Plunkett, Minneapolis MN; a host of other nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Louise Payne, Sioux Falls SD.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday April 15, 1993 at the Hudson Lutheran Church, Hudson SD with Rev. Lyle Inglebret officiating.
